I'm going tomorrow night and I think I have a nine game losing streak going on right now.

Well, you're officially on the hook for the loss.

I'll probably tune in via MLB.TV while I work on a feature.

This is the longest Cubs winning streak since July 8 to July 15, 2005 (All Star Break in between) which was also five games. Of course, that 5 game winning streak was preceded by an 8 game losing streak. If the Cubs win, it will be the longest streak since they won 7 in a row from May 27 to June 2, 2005.

We lucked out there. Since the Pirates don't televise all their games sometimes a Cubs/Pirates game doesn't even make the Extra Innings lineup. Tonight it's on 741.

Do you get that with your regular tv provider, or did you buy that channel separately?

My local package is for middle Tennessee news networks. With the MLBEI package I get the games, but can't guarantee which broadcast I'll get. For example, I may get 2 games of a series from different broadcast teams.

I'm almost positive you'll see the Pittsburgh crew. WCIU games don't typically pop up on the EI.

Wonder if it hits 10 games then BB and Len will switch facial hair like they promised...

The question wasn't do I watch WCIU other than Cubs games, the question was do I get to watch it.

He was just joking. Nothing to get mad about.

EI makes you appreciate the awesomeness of Len even more. I'd say that the broadcast teams for, oh, 27 out of the 30 teams are absolutely horrendous

...and then there's the ESPN crew...

But yes Len and Bob are one of the best broadcast teams.

One of?

I haven't heard all of the broadcast crews. It wouldn't surprise me if they were the best though.

I watch quite a lot of different ones on MLB.tv, but I always enjoy Len and Bob. I couldn't say whether it was because they talk about things I'm more familiar with, or because I know their nuances and whatnot more than other people, but they're certainly my favourite.
