This has all the makings of another 3 game series where we severely outscore our opponent yet lose 2 games.

 

Except that Miller is pitching tomorrow, so the Cardinals should have a great chance to make up some of those runs.

BOTTOM OF THE EIGHTH INNING

 

Hancock in to pitch for St. Louis

Murton doubled to left center field

Lee struck out looking

Ramirez grounded out to short, 6-3 , Murton holding second

Murton took third base on a wild pitch

Barrett popped ot second, safe a t first on a fielding error, E4, Murton scored

Jones singled to center field , Barrett to secodn

DeRosa grounded out to third, 5-3

 

1 runs 1 hits 1 errors 1 men left on base

So you never saw Jacque play before last year?

 

He had a .756 OPS in 2005 and a .742 in 2004.

 

PECOTA projected Pie and Jones to have virtually identical OPS this year, but Pie's defense would be much better.

So were gunna win this one and get our hopes up..then of course the trend will go on where well lose tomorrow,then win,then lose..and keep up the 3 and 4 games back of .500...this sucks

What information do you have to offer that says that Pie is any worse than Jones? His 18 career ML ABs? He's one of the best prospects in the game and even at this point has more to offer than Jones does, and he's only going to get better.
