The game came down to Jason Bay, stupidly, throwing the ball to third base (instead of second base) which allowed the tying run to score on a single.

 

There was a double play in the 9th inning that would have ended the game in regulation if the runner had not been allowed to advance.

Ronny Paulino is terrible. How did he misplay that picture-perfect throw from Bay on the GW sac fly? Freakin' ridiculous.

 

Picture perfect? Online yes - but weak as hell.

 

The throw to 3rd is what cost the game, as someone else pointed out.

 

THe difference in fundamentals last night was large.

hardly the only fault. How many times did we have men on base an not get them in? Other than our starting pitching, we sucked all three games.
