These guys are boring.

i think they're hilarious.

Agreed, they're actually pretty funny.

Really? They haven't been able to keep my attention. I don't like the older guys voice...

i don't know about balsa, but i think they're funny because of how bad they are.

it fits with the royals.

Breaking News: Ryan Theriot is the new David Eckstein. Take note, sportswriters.

I hope you're quoting something assinine that the royals broadcasters said, cause that is the worst insult you could ever level on Theriot. I hate that guy (Eckstein).

Definitely the Royals announcers. Intangibles speech about winners.

While you may not like the guy, I would be pleased as heck if Theriot turned into an Eckstein-like player.

Of course, these guys are just talking out of their rear ends.

If by Eckstein-like, you mean 'way better than Eckstein', I can agree with that statement. David Eckstein is one of the most overrated players in baseball. The stats paint this picture well, I do believe. But boy, he sure is gritty!

Eckstein-like production is pretty much Ryan Theriot's upside. The stats suggest a player with little power and decent plate discipline. If he could play short as well as Eckstein, I'd be very happy.

Granted, Theriot probably outplayed himself a little last year, but still, in 134 AB's last season for the Cubbies, he had 17 XBH's, to Eckstein's 21 XBH's... in 500 AB's. I think that suggest far better upside than 'Eckstein-like' production. As far as plate discipline goes, Eckstein doesn't have it. 31 walks in 500 AB's to Theriot's 17 in 134.
