He was gone before we knew him, but if you want to know more about Fast Freddie, the Baltimore Sun caught up with him.

Link.

What's it like playing in Wrigley Field?

It's fun. It's everything that you want when you are going good. When you are going bad, you may not want to play there. They are good fans. They are true fans, they are loyal. They come out no matter what -- rain, sleet or snow. They get 40,000 every night. It's unbelievable. Especially all those games at 1 in the afternoon when everybody should be working.

That's OK -- last year the Cubs weren't working most days (or nights) either.

I would like to hear someone say that Cubs fans are so successful that they can afford to take off work to go to games.

This is the same guy who made 3 errors in the first 2 innings of a ballgame, right? IIRC, he probably should have had 4 that game, but the scorer took mercy on him.

Talk about a guy taking a day off.

Yeah, he definitely should have had 4 in that game.

I predict Mr. Bynum will be one of the many skipping work to watch a game in the very near future.

That's kinda my point.

That interview reads as if he is the most boring man in the world.

What was your reaction when you heard of your trade to the Orioles?

Nothing really

Who did we get for him again? I don't remember at all, but assuming the player has a pulse (or maybe not), it had to have been an upgrade.

Kevin Hart-a pitcher with a high K rate but not much else. He's not much of a prospect.

The interesting thing is that Bynum gets a hate on here that some of our other bench options at the beginning of last year do not get, and he was easily our most productive bench player that was here at the start of the year.
