Novoa's velocity sucks. Hes at 84-86mph on his fastball and its everywhere.

 

Didn't he used to throw the ball MUCH MUCH harder than that?

He wasn't lights out anything before, but I have to think that accident is the reason why he's on a new level of suckiness. He can pitch better than that.

Yes he was at 95-97 last year. a lot of 97s. he sucked at those numbers, think what he does at mid 80's. He topped out at 87 today.

Someone mentioned an "accident" earlier..what was that about...and my God..10MPH off his fast ball for a guy who only had his speed going for him in the first place...

He was in a relatively minor car accident in the DR during the offseason. His arm/shoulder was sore as a result.
