Vance.... how many Astros games are televised locally in Monroe ?

 

It depends. It's been growing in numbers lately. The ones shown are on Fox sports southwest, but they also show the Rangers. It used to show more Rangers, but with all the Clemens hype, we've been getting more and more Astros. They probably show 60-75 Astros games here, give or take some.

You can send a fax? I'll be as hopeful as anyone, but this "playoff" is shady. The right thing to do was to announce the Cubs as the winner. Pretty convenient for them. No matter what happens now someone is going to be pretty ill. Better start posting this on other boards.

I'm not certain. The biggest issue with that is getting them here in time for the deadline. But you could certainly try mailing in some ballots.

The next day route could work, but they'd have to guarantee delivery by noon on Friday. How is the vote getting working for you?

I appreciate all the help. I have no idea what is or what won't be counted.

 

Try to make sure all your emails look legit. I know it is no use to keep voting from the same email address.

 

I'm doing about all I can here. I have about 90 votes signed so far. I'm going to wait and drop them off close to the deadline so that they can't use our total to encourage more Astros fans to vote.

 

My guess is tomorrow's total will have the Astros in a big lead and they'll try to use that to discourage Cub fans from voting. We'll see.

 

It's funny. We have a local ESPN affiliate. They pretty much run the national shows except for a 4 hour slot in the afternoon or when they broadcast local high school sports. Anyway, on the local segment, they were discussing the vote according to a friend of mine.
