Asking to prom? In March?

Anyway, always good to see Sammy walking up the comeback trail. It's a shame the Cubs go to Texas for interleague play and not vice versa

Roast talked of the girl AND THEN Sammy.

Dude must have it bad.

hahaha, that may be.

Anyways, someone mentioned prom in march? Yeah, our prom is in the 3rd week of april this year, so if we dont ask now the women wont have near enough time to get all of their "stuff" together.

i think it's cute that you refer to high school girls as women.

I'm sad the Rangers don't play the Cubs in interleague this year. I'd have loved to see Sammy have one last game in Wrigley.

I hope he has a decent year and can retire with some respectablity.

I still love you, Sammy. I'll always cherish the ball you signed for me in Milwaukee. And I'm going to wear my Sammy jersey-tee on Opening Day.

I don't dislike Sosa, but like a few others I don't have much respect for him any more.

It started with the corked bat, and then the fiasco that was the end of 2004.

The Rangers do play the Cubs in Interleague, but the game is in Texas.

My bad. My point still stands, though.

Kids these days. Everything too early. My senior prom was the 3rd week of May and, I might add, coincided with the 2005 Cubs-Sox series at Wrigley. Needless to say I had my radio with me that weekend...

What? Sammy? Oh, right.

I hope that he plays beyond 2007 and is able to get one more at-bat at Wrigley, just so he knows that not every fan wearing blue was ready to run him out of town.

Either way, though, here's to a big 2007 for Sammy.

First, :D at the bolded part.

Second, if Roast's school is consistent with schools a little farther south in the same state (and his prom is) then his school probably finishes their school year around the end of the third or 4th week of May, which is why they cannot possibly have prom then.

On topic, I don't want to see Sammy come back to Wrigley as a player. I'm not sure of the reaction he'd get. I'd rather wait a couple years and have him come back with some sort of retirement ceremony where I'm much more sure he'll get a positive reaction. The worst thing would be to see him come back as a player and get booed by any significant section of the crowd-that's just not a situation that I would want to risk.

I just hope he doesn't suck. I'm going to be disappointed if we see the Sammy from Baltimore.

I think it is more than likely that is what you will see.

I need to see more than some Spring Training success to make me think he can have a decent year, after missing a whole season.

Whoever said it earlier was right, Our last day of school is may 25th, graduation is may 30th. We cant have it much later than april this year.

That being said, i feel like a blasphemer for distracting attention from sammy.
