Anyone care to give a brief game recap and summary of what is happening right now?
White Sox brought their hitting shoes and the Cubs have looked poor on defense. Guzman pitched ok but didn't strike anyone out.

Right now. Cherry walked Thome.

Cherry has looked pretty good today.

2 on and 2 out.

Thanks, CubinNY.

Current score?

Cherry throwing 95mph and his breaking stuff is nasty.

I would be really surprised he he didn't make the bullpen.

I think with Wood injured(what else is new) and Cotts looking terrible, he deserves to make the team. I also think Lou likes him.

Mark Prior on Rotoworld

Facing Double-A hitters, Mark Prior allowed one hit and struck out four in four scoreless innings on Friday.

He did walk two and hit a batter, but it was a small step forward anyway. He hit 90 mph on the gun for maybe the first time this spring, though he was typically clocked at 85-88 mph with his fastball. Also, he got his curve over more often. "[My command] was better," Prior said. "I threw a lot of [breaking pitches] for strikes. That was the goal, to locate it a little better." The Cubs will wait to see how Prior feels tomorrow before scheduling his next outing. If he's slated to work in another minor league game, it'd be a strong sign that the Cubs have no intention of carrying him on the active roster to begin the season.

Who are these announcers on WGN? They don't sound annoying enough to be Hawk and DJ.

Hawk, DJ & Sox marketing man Brooks Boyer

Really? They aren't pissing me off as much as I remember from last year. Maybe they're waiting for the regular season.

The are playing nice-nice because they want that Cubs cross-over cash. Boyer was promoting a game at the Cell with Sammy Sosa in April...

I was thinking the same thing. They have done some nice things in the cell, unfortunately they have the area surrounding the park that fans have to deal with. All the cool stuff inside doesn't do squat if your fans gotta dodge bullets on the way to their car.

I'm still waiting for the "Free bullet proof vests to the first 100 guests" promotion.

I tell you what, if you want to feel skinny and in-shape go to a Sox game. One look around at the fans and you'll feel better about your health and your life.

I honestly think the was going to make the team (with or without Wood and Cotts' problems).

I guess Marquis looked great again today...

Fox gets on via a very weak beanball off the right elbow, and Pie floats one into left for a single.

Theriot lines out to right. Fox advances to third. One out.

I think you're only talking about half of the Sox fan base. The other half are the inbred extended family of William Ligue and his son. They're pretty skinny (but then again, so are most crack heads and crack wh***s).

You know, I thought "what the hell are all those seagulls doing in Mesa" until I realized that was Ronnie Woo Woo in the background...

Very true. Hard to see the skinny inbred's behind the tubby's.

I think he just appears out of nowhere if you say his name 3 times in a row. Wasn't that the basis of the Candyman movies that were supposedly set in Cabrini Green?

Woo-Woo. He won't stop. Ever.

LOL! Even getting hit by a car doesn't stop the man. He just keeps on coming like Jason in a Friday the 13th movie.

Mark Prior said this is his next step after his outing today..

What's the next step?

"Go home and get some lunch -- I don't know," Prior said.
