He's had pretty good minor stats along with a really good OBP though. Plus, can he play SS or 2B? He looks as if he can play the corner OF's and 1st which is great.

Needs to go to an AL team. That way he can DH which is is his best position.

 

He would be a nice corner IF option off the bench because of his bat, but with twelve pitchers you just dont have a slot.

Looking at his page at the baseball cube, it appears he has played 1b, 3b, and OF. It appears he's logged the most time at third.

He might be a decent guy to have at Iowa in case Ramirez suffers a long term injury, but I don't see wasting a roster spot on him.

I'd rather have him than some of the scrubs we've had over the past few seasons. That said, I doubt he's able to play SS or 2B so he really doesn't fit well.

Poop. I was hoping he could play the middle infield. The Cubs already have a guy that can do about the same things at Iowa so I don't see his value and as you said opening up a spot on the 40 man wouldn't be worth it. Oh well and thanks everybody.

Sweet fancy Julio!!! Look at how many times a year that guy gets hit by a pitch!!!! In 10 Minor League seasons, he has been plunked 166 times! In the last four minor league seasons, he has been hit 83 times! That's incredible.
