not at all... he's hitting .400 and DeRosa is hititng .125. The answer is clear to me.

 

Sam Horn was a Spring Training All-Star, it doesn't really mean all that much.

 

they haven't even been playing a week yet. I think Patterson has good potential, not great. He will be the 2B sometime soon, hopefuly if he cna improve his defense.

 

I wouldn't write DeRosa off after a handful of Spring Training AB's.

Don't some posters realize the hypocrisy in their statements where they tell others to not get excited about and judge a player based on his best year, and yet turn around and rip Marquis apart mostly because of his horrible year last year? Aside from a rather high WHIP, he pitched pretty well in 2004 and 2005.
