I don't understand what point we're making by giving Mateo two innings (unless they plan to trade him). Hill should have pitched longer or let someone else follow Juan.

 

Hill is only going to get 2 innings no matter what, it was his first appearance of the Cactus League.

Thus far, it's been the Minor League guys that have pitched poorly in at least one inning of every game. The starters have looked pretty sharp. That's definitely a positive.

Exactly-pretty much all the starting hitters have been decent so far (the only one that hasn't been good is Ramirez), and the pitchers who will be on the roster have been good as well-it's been many of the other pitchers who have struggled.
