If he can come anywhere close to replicating his 2004 season, then he is more than deserving of a backup SS role on a fantasy team.

 

Personally, I value steals out of the SS and 2B positions rather highly.

:-s....he has 59 career steals...He only had 1 last year. Only once in his career has he had more than 10...

 

Even by that metric he's not valuable.

I don't care about his career numbers. In a fantasy draft, I care about what potential he has for that season.

I think the 25 steals was an aberration-my guess is that with the hamstring injuries, he wouldn't have more than 10 this year. The only thing he would give you is possibly average, which is not enough for a fantasy draft unless in a pretty large league.
