Next Tuesday is when Ill probably get my fix. Rice is coming over here to play Texas State so Ill go out to see that game for sure. Then the next weekend I am going home for the Enron/Minute Maid/Astro College Classic. Great matchups there including Rice versus Vanderbilt. David Price will probably get that game, but Joe likes to pitch the Sunday games and that's on Friday afternoon. Houston. Rice, Vanderbilt, Arizona State, Baylor and Texas A&M are all there this year. Should be great!

I'll might treck up to Austin (fifty minutes speeding away) this weekend to catch some of the UT/SD games. I've got lots of friends up there. Ill probably head backup for the Stanford weekend as well.

Yeah Ill get my fix of about a dozen games before pitchers and catchers report <3.

I love college baseball as well. I go to a lot of Alabama and Troy games. I'm heading down to Troy, Alabama, next weekend for the Troy/Arkansas series.

Then in April, baseball is in full force with the MLB and with the minor leagues. We have the Montgomery Biscuits here in my hometown and we're the defending Class AA Southern League Champs.

Please let me know how Dombroski (Kentucky) does against your boys!

My wife's family lives in Prattville!

I love the Biscuts stadium and some great talent has come through there.

I'll be down to watch the Smokies (Cubs AA) this summer.

Yes and no. I can't see past the Super Bowl yet, and will have some post-football depression for a bit. We also have College Basketball gearing towards the tourneys and to me that's infinitely more exciting than split squad games against the Mariners.

i would have trouble watching a basketball game even if i were paid to do so. it's right up there with soccer & hockey in my book.

Before I went to college I would have agreed completely. 4 years at Illinois changed my opinion on NCAA basketball. I have a hard time watching more than 5 minutes of an NBA game.

Hockey has to be seen in person. It's really easy to get hooked if you can go to games. Once you're hooked it's not as bad watching it on TV.

Unless it's the world cup or our HS team, I can't watch soccer.

My favorite sports to watch live are Hockey and College Football.

College football is my favorite sport to watch live being from Alabama. Nothing I've ever experienced comes close to a Saturday night in an SEC football stadium like Neyland Stadium in Knoxville with 107,000+ fans with "Rocky Top" blaring at full force, or inside Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge with the deafening roar of 92,000+ LSU fans. Naturally, I'm partial to Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa where we also pack in over 92,000 fans for every home game.

The NBA is a league that I used to really like, but after Jordan's era ended in Chicago, the NBA hasn't been the same. It's hard for me to watch a game from start to finish now. College basketball is much more exciting - it's really not even close.

I'm getting really pumped. 11 days.

I'm ready to be thoroughly disappointed again; however I'm cautiously optimistic.

Good 'ol Prattville! Prattville will soon be a big city at the rate folks from Montgomery are moving up there. Heck, I might not be far behind. The Biscuits' stadium is awesome. It was recently voted the top professional baseball venue in all of minor league/major league baseball by gentleman who visited every park in America in 2006.

The Cubs AA team is now about a 4 to 5 hour drive away. It would make a perfect weekend getaway for you and the Misses. Plus Jackson is an hour up the road so when they play the Dbacks team you can catch those as well.

yeah, I didn't pay as much attention last year. Will comcast start focusing on the cubs alot once the pitchers and C's report? Such as have small segments on them in their 1 hour show?

Dude, how do you think Emeel Saleem and Tommy Hunter will fared this yr, my fellow Crimson Tide fan?

And yet, the Biscuits are having trouble making payments for the rent?

Well, I believe Comcast will be having more Cub ST games on than last year. Last year it was abysmal, like 2 games. So hopefully they will have more coverage. I would imagine the real stuff won't start until the whole team reports though.

I'm so frakin' fired up about baseball I just bought 2 tickets to see one team I hate play one team I could care less about in the "Civil-Rights" game on March 31st.

Cardinals vs Indians.

Tickets were a bit pricy $50.00 a piece, but it is for a good cause.

Hello bar-b-qued nachos and Blue Moon beer.

People (including myself) have been saying that the last couple years. I'm starting to wonder if it will ever ring true.

Though I don't think you can ever count a team with Travis Hafner, Grady Sizemore, and Victor Martinez out of it before the season even begins.
