Man, what is it about professional athletes thinking that they can drink and drive whenever they feel like it?

Let's hope this is an isolated incident, because I had previously held his character in high regard.

What is it about them? I'm guessing it's the same thing about the general population that does it all the time.

Touche. But still you'd think with all that money they could get a cab or have a limo escort them around town.

Obviously they could, but that's also true for the vast majority of DUIs, people could have paid 10-20 bucks for a cab ride instead. And if you can afford a Bentley, you'd probably want to drive it as well.

It's irresponsibility. I don't have much respect for people who get up in arms when people get drunk, including groups like MADD who freak out about underage drinking. Underage drinking is not morally reprehensible, or even morally questionable. Drinking and driving is. Our country needs to do a better job promoting responsible drinking, which includes planning ahead for transportation options. The black and white way people think about alcohol in this country doesn't do any good. It's like promoting abstinence as the only way to avoid pregnancy and STDs.

Is it me or does he look a lot older in this picture. And is that a shaddow on the back of his head or does he have a serious receding hairline?

School doesn't get out for me until 11:30 this morning. I've been grading tests most of the morning.

If I owned a team, I'd basically hire a limo/personal driver service. Any time any of my players went out on the town, all they'd have to do would be to make a phone call and someone would be there to pick them up in style and drive them either around town, back to their hotel, or back home.

It'd be expensive, but it'd be worthwhile.

Unless you were a really cheap owner that was more than willing to find excuses to run more expensive players out of town.

They arent going to be put in jail for it and get a slap on the wrist compared to the beating everyone else gets

IMO this is a lot worse than Tank having guns

That drunk, get rid of him and send him to the Cubs! Oh pretty please?

No thanks. His cheap years are over (most expensive first time arbi eligible player at the time). He isn't worth giving up the prospects necessary to get him.
