Jon Lester's cancer in remission

A source who has direct knowledge of Lester's medical condition told The Boston Globe that the Red Sox left-hander's latest CT scan was clean and his lymphoma seems to be in remission. The source told the newspaper that Lester expects to be with the Red Sox in spring training.

I too am happy for Jon Lester. Cancer can be such a scary thing, at such an early age. Thanks be to Almighty God, I too am in remission, but it was colon cancer, that I was dealing with, plus I'm older (49). I received the good news probably about a month ago. I know sometimes we disagree on the direction that the Cubs need to go in, but the bottom line is we're all Cub fans, and we love the Northsiders with a passion. I personally want to thank Tim, Serena and everyone, who has been praying for me, while I was battling cancer. God heard your prayers! Thanks again for your support.
