Ill say it again, they need to find a way to get Hester worked into the offense for about 5-10 plays a game. Use mainly for a decoy, but a WR reverse or end around or whatever just get the ball in his hands. The kid is special plain and simple.

Lovie Smith" Whenever you go to a hostile environment its tough"...Umm Lovie, the fans were in your favor, Id say it was a hostile environment for the Rams.

That's gotta suck.

Having a horrible last few games, media and fans all over you, and you go out and have a good game and then have to answer questions from an old ugly hag like Tafoya about how you've sucked and needed a good game.

Grossman didn't seem too happy with having to answer question after question of it. Good for him to throwing it in all our faces tonight!

Dare I say it? Perhaps Tafoya was the...

Oh nevermind.

I'll say it.

Slump-buster!

Lovie mentioned that just now on NFL Network.

Lovie is very entertaining today.

Nothing better then sitting at a bar with the Bears on my left and the Bulls on my right and both winning blowouts

He mentioned that they were going to try and do that?

He said something like "man we gotta try him on offense too, get him in there whenever we can"

What a steal of a pick, I cant believe I criticized that pick

Couple comments on Rex:

I think he can be our franchise QB. He played smart tonight, really smart. And I think he realized it.

I was watching the post-game on ESPN and rex was taking questions and i think it's clicked for him, that going to Moose and Desmond in the short-intermediate range, and dumping off for screens and short passes to the Fullbacks and RB's is very effective and efficient.

It was also nice to see him smiling again. Listening to his comments, he's the consumate team professional, the antithesis of Cade McNown. It's why everyone on the team is pulling for him. He deflects any compliments and he has all season even during his stellar September. I think it says alot that his teammates want him to succeed so badly. Sure teammates are happy when their QB's are playing well, but I think it's a lot more with his teammates. Their genuine excitement when he made good plays showed alot. There isn't any division in this team and their support for him, even when he wasn't playing. There was tremendous support. Hopefully he's turned the corner.

And Devin Hester might be one of Angelo's best draft picks, along with Mark Anderson.

Not to kill the joy here, but it was against the Rams bad D.

But screw it I am not going to downplay his performance tonight on National TV with all that damn pressure on him from local and national media...the kid stepped up and played a smart game and got a win. Good job Rexy....now do it for 3 more weeks and get ready for some playoff wins!

Rex Grossman didn't do anything special to save his job Monday night. He didn't need to. Not with Devin Hester returning two kickoffs for TDs, as the Bears rolled through St. Louis 42-27.

No surprise that ESPN is full of it yet again. Tehy've employed Joe Morgan for all these years. Enough said.

To play devil's advocate, when looking at the numbers after the game, 13-23 for 200, 2/0 isn't bad by any means, but doesn't jump off the box score at you either.

On another note, I just got back from the bowling alley, which is where I was when I realized just how much manlove I have for Hester. Holy crap.

Of course he didnt, it was only because the Rams D sucks. Like I said earlier, Rex was in a no win situation with the media, and if I was him Id tell most of them to kiss my ass. He takes every question and answers them honestly, but with some reporters in Chicago he can do no right.

ESPN is so [expletive]. Lets say Hester doesn't return those 2 TD's. Who's to say Grossman doesn't lead scoring drives both times?

Exactly. Three of the four offensive scoring drives were for more than 75 yards, and the fourth was still 56. It's not like he put up those numbers playing a short field like he was able to do so much at the beginning of the season.

Well that poll didn't say much for the average ESPN's viewers' IQ level.

Turnovers (+1 for the Bears - and that one coming at a very non-consequential time) won the "deciding game factor" poll. Devin Hester only received 7.7 percent of the votes.

Ayenbadejo is wearing the sweetest San Fran Giants hat I have ever seen. Anybody know if there are Cubs hats like it anywhere?

What's it look like?

It was a white New Era with the Seams in black, and the SF outline in white and black. Pretty sweet looking hat.
