God, I'm such an internet sleuth!

Nomar Garciaparra-1B-Dodgers Nov. 20 - 1:29 am et

Nomar Garciaparra and the Dodgers have come to terms on a two-year deal that will be officially announced on Monday.

No word on the terms yet, but Garciaparra should be getting about $10 million per year to remain the Dodgers' first baseman.

I suppose it isn't a bad move for Brooklyn. They lost JD Drew, and didn't land either ARAM or Soriano (both on the Northside, woot). Hopefully he stays healthy.

So one of Ethier or Kemp should be available for cheap then correct?

Prolly not, unless it was for a guy like ManRam, or somebody of that ilk.

Where are they all going to play then?

Why can't they all play in the majors next year? Am I forgetting someone?

Well they are going to play Marlon Anderson, why I don't know, so that leaves two spots for three good young hitters. Also couldn't they bring back Kenny Lofton or sign Juan Pierre sinde they were interested in him down the stretch. I don't think Grady Little knows what he has with the three young players.

2 Years, 18 Mill.

According to the Los Angeles Times, Nomar Garciaparra will get a two-year, $18 million contract from the Dodgers.

That seems almost cheap in this market, but Nomar played in just 81 games in 2004, 62 in 2005 and 122 last season. It's risky to count on him at any price. Fortunately, the Dodgers aren't short on insurance policies.

Anyone have the Blasphemy Nomah picture around (never said it'd be easy - only said it'd be worth it)? I'd like to send it to my Dodgers fan brother-in-law. Thanks in advance if anyone finds it.

Well, with Pierre signing...this is just unfathomable for the Dodgers. What the hell is Coletti thinking?

"Lets see, I have some of the top prospects in the game, all of which performed fairly well at some point last year in the majors...I know, I'LL BLOCK THEM! FOR FIVE YEARS! YEAH!"
