whats are the odds we even add one big-time FA? its very early on in the off-season, but historically the cubs market themselves as being players every off-season. we already spent $73M on Aramis (which im thrilled we did) but the end result seems to be lacking.

 

is hendry really going to shell out $90-110M for soriano? i honestly dont know. i undertand that nobody here really knows...but im curious if people truely think soriano or some other bigname FA is truely realistic.

Maybe it's the optimist-fan in me, but I believe JH when he says he won't be outbid for Soriano and that he matched BOS's offer to Drew (reportedly; not his words). They may get neither, but he's serious and he seems to have plenty to offer ($).

But isn't that true about most people?

 

If one can do something he or she likes and get paid for it, it doesn't necessarily make one a whore. Or does it?
