I'm not sure if I'm still under the luxary tax.

I'm not sure Hendry can get all those guys. There is a limit to how many A/B guys he can sign. DeRosa counts as 1 already.

Are we sure this rule is a part of the new CBA? From the way Jim Hendry is wheeling and dealing, and all the rumors still floating around, I have a hard time believing it is.

Well he made a trade.

A very good trade.

I don't know about "very good."

It's a "meh" trade at best.

Not really. Aardsama could be good. Cotts has been good. And really good too. I think he would be very attractive to other teams for a trade. So this is just another small, quick move, which gives JH more good cards for trades. I like it alot.

BTW I WIN!!! I toooold yooououououououu-u-uououou!!!!

Sorry, nobody is going to convince me that trading David Aardsma for Neal Cotts is anything above a "meh" move.

Go ahead and try, .

Um, no you didn't. A trade is not a signing.

That too.

So what happens if he doesn't sign anyone by Friday?

Heroin. Needle. Forehead. Hendry's doorstep.

Hendry's Doorstep[/url]"](AP) Chicago - Fresh off the signing of clutch backup catcher Henry Blanco, Cubs general manager Jim Hendry took the opportunity to trade his now-surplus catcher Michael Barrett to Detroit for Neifi Perez and a player to be named later. When questioned by many critics, Hendry was defiant in his defense of the move.

"No one catches the ball better than a catcher. Perez saved us in '05, and we spiraled out of control in '06 [after trading Perez to Detroit], so I'm just trying to right my most glaring wrong. This club has millions of loyal fans who deserve to see them win a World Series, and this move was a step in the right direction."

On the bright side, at least now you don't have to do that whole heroin thing on Hendry's doorstep! :D

Honestly, I'm seriously hoping (expecting) to be figuring out what's wrong with his next move before lunch tomorrow.

It would be funny if there were actually a site called "Hendry's Doorstep" where people could post what they'll do if he doesn't get the player they want.
