From Rotoworld:

Orioles signed RHP Jon Leicester to a minor league contract.

Leicester, a former Cubs prospect, suffered a knee injury after making just two starts for Triple-A Oklahoma last season and didn't pitch again. He was quite a disappointment in 2005, so he's turned into a long shot now. Still, we like him on a minor league deal. He can throw 93-95 mph while working in short relief.

I always liked him. I wish him well there.

And now I see they signed Luis Montanez as well.

Perhaps we should wait an hour and see who all they stole away before we respond.

John Stockstill recommending lots of his former guys, I see.

So now we've traded Corey Patterson, Sammy Sosa, Brandon Sing, Luis Montanez and Jon Leicester for Jerry Hairston Jr., Mike Fontenot, Carlos Perez, Nate Spears and some guy who would quit before he'd ever consider putting on a Cub uniform.

I'd say Baltimore is getting the better end of that deal. [-(

So instead of crap, the Orioles got turds. There is no winners in that, just blah.....

Stocksill can keep all of them. We need to clean out the system and get rid of his horrible draft picks. I'll take Wilken's undrafted free agent signees.

I really wanted Luis Montanez to succeed, and I thought he might have been turning the corner in 2005 and early 2006, but it was too late for him in this organization.

These were all rule 5 picks, I take it?

Man, I had high hopes for Sing.
