What are Florida's claims to fame? They lost to a 2 loss Auburn and beat a 3 loss Tennesse and 2 loss LSU.

All of which would likely beat all the top three Big East teams pretty easily (maybe Auburn wouldn't since they're so inconsistent).

Seriously, man, I like the Big East too, but you're getting a tad carried away.

That's funny because I look at the polls and don't see any teams that ND beat that even got a vote. Maybe it's you that's getting carried away because I seem to be using facts and your using assumptions.

Georgia Tech is in the polls.

Opps, you're right. I still think any of the 3 BE teams could beat any SEC team or ND.

I think they definitely could. I'm not sure that they would, but the difference between those teams is not very much if there is one. Rutgers I think is actually the team who would struggle against the most teams because they are the most one dimensional, although their defense would keep them in any game they played.

you do? hmmm. I think that's the first we've heard of your opinion about the Big East.

So is the Big East this years ND, in the sense that it takes over every thread?

I did start another thread about it! I think with all the one loss teams it's going to be one hotly contested topic. I'm just fighting for the right for the BE to be considered as an equal.

ND is 5 in the human poll and 5 in the puters. Arkansas is 6 in the humand and 9 in the puters. Thats where they get em. Rutgers is #2 in the puters ahead of OSU.

Wow, I thought Arkansas' CPU rating would be higher. In that case I don't see a way Arkansas leapfrogs ND if both win out simply because USC will provide a big boost to ND's SOS to counter the LSU/SEC title game opponent boost for Arkansas.

which reminds me of why I was irritated with Arkansas earlier in the thread. I thought it was because the leapfrogged the Badgers, but it is because the computers have the Badgers ahead of the Hogs, but the humans have them ahead.

The coaches poll has Rutgers as 8 too and that killed them in the BCS. The polls have made Florida way too high in the BCS. Thanks good ole boys.

I'm actually a little surprised that Michigan didn't jump OSU in the BCS standings. Oh well, what's one more week of waiting ;)

BTW, other then Mark R, who are the resident Buckeye fans on this board?
