I generally think the save is an overrated stat but you have to tip your cap to Hoffman. He has been very good for awhile on a lot of teams that have not been very good.

I agree 100% that the save stat is overrated. Kudos to Hoffman as well.

It's cool that a guy who comes into the game with AC/DC playing and then proceeds to strike guys out with pitches thrown in the 70s is the all time saves leader.

You could always play the race-card for Lee Smith. Everybody else in the media is willing to use it for their own selfish gains... at least you'd be doing it for somebody else.

I was able to be there last Saturday and Sunday for the tying and record breaking save. PETCO Park has never been noisier which is saying alot since we have these So. Cal. fans here who hardly know the game.
