Sorry, Jon, but this reeks of the old Northwestern. You know, back when everyone said "now that Penn State joined the league, let's drop Northwestern." That was brutal.

How so? Northwestern is out-recruiting nearly half of the Big Ten so far this season and still play in the same conference with Illinois and Indiana. Not to mention that they're playing with a 1st year head coach, 1st year offensive coordinator, a linebacker coach new to the team, and young WR, OL, and RB coaches new to their positions. The only QB with any exerpience on the team is recovering from a broken leg. We also have at least 8 players starting this year with one or no years of experience (including a center who hasn't played in over a year) and several others seeing playing time out of necessity quite often on the 3-3-5 defense.

Hopefully they'll get better and healthy. Bacher, Heinz, Thompson, Matthews, and others still have yet to get healthy. This may be a long season, but the program is in better shape than those of at least several other Big Ten schools.

And right now their biggest problem is that they're shooting themselves in the foot. If they can't put a few games together where they play smart football, they have the talent to win two or three Big Ten games.

Wow, that was brutal non-call and a ticky tacky personal foul. This is seriously a load of crap.

welcome to big ten football games against michigan

at least they are being original. usually it's just non calls on holding and offensive pass interference. they're really mixing it up today between picking up flags, not seeing face masks and late hits, and really concentrating on special teams.

and as I see this play, back to the commentators...the yellow line on the original play was a foot and a half shorter than the yellow line on the replay.

I knew this Wisky game was a trap game....this just proves that there is 0% chance that Michigan makes it to Columbus undefeated.

They might make it to Columbus undefeated but they won't make it out undefeated. Just for a cover all, Michigan will leave Columbus with one more loss then they came in with.

Wisky could only hold of the Ref's and Michigan for so long.

They are at home, isn't it every Big 10 referee's job to ensure that the home team gets a majority of the calls?

Or does that only happen in basketball?

Another big return by Breston.

Virginia Tech is now up 22-13.

Colorado up 13-0 on Georgia halfway through the third.

Purdue scores again 27-14. Ugh.

c'mon. Michigan's a better team and probably wins this game without the refs help, but what happens in this game if not for the refereeing. nice second efforts by Hart on that drive, but it was a fricken bear hug fest out there. that's why he wasn't stopped on first contact. all the pursuit was being tackled to the ground or pounded in the back.

This is true, I'm a big Badger support and expected Wisconsin to lose today, they're just too raw offensively. But with that said, no one wants to see a game significantly affected by horrible ref play. If the refs were solid in the first half, Michigan would be working from behind in the second half instead of a tie game. The outcome might be the same, but how its played would be much different. Instead of seeing a potential game that down to the final minutes, you'll see a game that means nothing in most of the fourth quarter.

Sweet trick play by Minnesota. Three WR's on the right side. The QB took the snap, threw to one of the receivers who threw the ball back to the left side of the field to the RB who made a nice over the shoulder catch.

Glad to see Wisconsin has given up trying to win the game, instead trying to break people's legs for no apparent reason.
