Very happy for GMJ. I wished he figured it all out while he was a Cub, but good for him.

Has he really "figured it all out" since?

AVG .312 | HR 17 | RBI 74 | OBP .372 | SLG .501 6 triples,

VS. LEFT: .288 / .885 VS. RIGHT: .312 / .845 HOME: .312 / .893 AWAY: .302 / .820

He strikes out kkind of lot, but I'd say he's doing just fine

Wow, I thought he was doing a lot worse than that this year. Serves me right for being too lazy to click my mouse a few times and look up his stats.

Contract year. If he does it next year, then I'll believe he figured it out.

If you look at his last 5 seasons or so, he's put up a .750 ish OPS. He'd certainly be an improvement over Pierre even if he reverts to his typical season.

Of course that probably says just as much about Pierre as it does about GMjr.

On a related note, does it seem like hitting for the cycle is not as big an accomplishment as it used to be?

I find it hard to believe that hitters suddenly get magical powers in their contract years.

And then I look at Adrian Beltre
