Yea Bonds probably did steroids, but I have to give it to him for one thing. Bonds has great pitch recognition. He usually knows what kind of pitch to hack away on. And if he doesn't like the pitch, he just takes it as a ball. He challenges people to throw strikes. That pitch by Marshall was a pretty good pitch.....it was down and away.

here's a question...if you catch a Bonds homerun ball, would you personally throw it back? like him or not, juiced or not, the man is chasing history and will likely pass Aaron for the all-time homerun record...any homerun ball he hits becmomes a piece of history, but Bleacher/Cubs tradition mandates that all visitors' homerun balls be thrown back...what would you do?

I'd throw it as hard as I could, trying to hit him while he ran around the bases.

Whoever called that Theriot would sit after the last two games he's had, come out and take a bow.

Oh wait, that was everyone.

That's one of the most frustrating things about Bonds...he was a lock to be remembered as one of the greatest of all time before the whole 'roids scandal, primarily because of this ability to see pitches almost inhumanly. Jerk or not, it's spectacular when he spots which pitches to hit like he did today.

And yet we get to be blssed with Cedeno's presence day in and day out.

I'd like to join the curious minds wondering where in Theriot's 7-10 over two days earn him a rest.

Clearly, he was actually TOO hot, dude. He was melting the batting helmets. Gotta give him a break or else those fish won't hunt.

Actually I bet the "Ryan Theriot book" isn't out yet so it isn't fair for him to be getting all these hits against the other team.

Why is Bynum starting over Theriot?

Why is Bynum on the roster at all?

He was not even in the top 20 Oakland prospects in 2005. So Hendry makes a trade for a C-level prospect in the offseason and Dusty sees fit to play him over a guy who's hotter than anyone else on the team?

Funny how that works isn't it? Theriot could have hit 5 HR's yesterday and Baker still would play Bynum and Baily today.
