In today's edition of Mexico doing Mexico things, Carlos Vela appears to be turning town a call-up. Again.

Although a day late to celebrate Groundhog Day, Vela is apparently not going to the World Cup, because Mexico.

I'm almost surprised they even offered him.

"I'm not mentally committed because of all the criticism that the players have received. In the future, if Mexico is doing great and receives no pressure from fans and media, then I'll consider playing for them."

Do you have a link for that quote?

Anyone wanna watch Jurgen accuse US players of lacking desire?

http://espnfc.com/video/espnfc/video/_/id/1708311?cc=5901

Sometimes I just want to hit him upside the head. Lack of desire and belief isn't the issue.

Landon is the only player you can fairly put that on. Deuce and MB actually did it, hit their ceiling and then were offered more money than they could turn down. Tim Howard did it and has absolutely nothing to prove to anyone. What on earth would it prove for a 35 year old Tim Howard to try and latch on with a champions league team again? Nothing. Does nothing to make him a better player and he's probably going to retire from the national team anyway. What [expletive] top 4 club in Italy, Germany or Spain is going to want Jozy? Good lord. Possibly the two worst examples he could list but for some reason he's afraid to call out Deuce and MB.

It's clear that the young generation wants to try and will probably succeed. Guzan, Aron Johansson, Junior Flores, Julian Green, Gedion Zelalem, Luis Gil and a bunch of other guys about to make the leap. Those Americans would be doing well to have as much desire as Clint [expletive] Dempsey and Michael Bradley.

Agreed.

I can't imagine how much having to listen to JK must infuriate Bradley.

[expletive] Arsenal.

That was an insane first 20 minutes.

And United dropped points today to Fulham. Despite yesterday's shitty result, this is the most fun EPL season in a long time.

And the top of the table gets even tighter.

Was hoping Fulham would be able to hold on for the draw against Liverpool but oh well. Liverpool only four back of Chelsea at the top with Tottenham three behind Liverpool.

Watching the EPL Review show from the weekend and it was hilarious to see Wayne Rooney drop to his knees and pump his fists like ManU just won something relevant after the second goal they scored.

You're Man U and you just took the lead at home against effing Fulham. Calm down a bit.

Julian Green will train with the US in March.

Awesome news.

Sunderland continued their Cup magic today. In the finals of the Capital One Cup, and now Quarters of the FA Cup
