Zlatan with four goals aginsst England today including what can best be described as a 30 yard bicycle kick for his fourth goal. Ridiculous.

Ibra's form is out of this world right now.

Just saw this.

Luis Suarez scores against Chelsea but nobody goes to celebrate with him.

1 year removed from being in football hell, roaming from club-to-club without being given a shot and none of us knowing whether it was because of his perceived lack of value or something political/other outside reasons, Jozy has worked to get himself back to where his talent was supposed to take him.

http://www.soccerbyives.net/2012/11/rubin-kazan-among-teams-that-bid-for-altidore-last-summer.html

As Jozy Altidore’s second impressive season in the Netherlands has scouts taking notice from all across Europe, it is becoming more clear just which teams already tried prying him away from AZ Alkmaar last summer.

Russian powerhouse Rubin Kazan and Portuguese side Sporting CP both made bids for Altidore this past summer, while Serie A side Fiorentina also expressed serious interest, sources told SBI on Friday. The bids, believed to be in the $6 million-$8 million range, weren’t enough to get AZ to pull the trigger, though AZ sporting director Earnie Stewart also pointed to the timing of one of the bids as being too late to allow the team to secure a replacement.

Altidore is off to another outstanding season for AZ, having scored 12 goals in all competitions with the season not even half over yet. With several top clubs scouting AZ regularly, Altidore has turned heads with his goal-scoring exploits and is expected to be the subject of more transfer bids this winter, and certainly next summer, when he could be set for a major transfer.

I'm happy for the guy because of how hard he worked and how frustrating all the stuff he's gone through since moving to Villarreal. I'm happy for us as US fans because we all thought he was an elite prospect but it looked like he might have been the next in a long line of over-hyped US "phenoms" that eventually left us all discouraged and wondering when we were going to finally see a US player live up to the hype. Hope this guy gets nothing but better and better. AZ is about to get straight paid for having the faith in him that Villarreal didn't have and all the other dumb clubs and their supporters who talked [expletive] (Hull, specifically) who don't know what good soccer looks like can do what Aston Villa supporters have done with Michael Bradley and shake their heads in shock while a dude who played for their team and didn't get a fair shot goes on to play in huge games for clubs that make their lame little club look like a minnow and play well.

I'd like to thank Emmanuel Adebayor for ruining the Tottenham-Arsenal game today.

Yeah, that was shaping up to be great until that dumb tackle.

As always I'm blown away by Defoe and Bale's ball hogging.

Defoe is horrible. First minute of the second half, looked off a wide open Clint who, if played through, has a 1v1 with the keeper just to dribble into traffic and get dispossessed.

They are really an unpleasant team to watch. Fulham looked more fluid in possession.

The Galaxy are losing Beckham, probably Donovan & Keane as well as Gonzalez if a European team out there is smart. Going to be a crazy offseason for rumors. lampard & KaKa will feature prominently. Feilhaber too.

Chelsea lost to Juve and needs some help to get through. They lose the tiebreakers to both Shakhtar (H2H away goals) and Juve (H2H) so a Juve win or draw against Shakhtar next week eliminates Chelsea no matter what they do. The only chance Chelsea has is if they win and Shakhtar beats Juve.

That's real...I thought you had to be joking. He's building something really good there, they just need a prime time striker. Can't believe they fired him already, lol.

Abramovich is worse than Steinbrenner ever, ever was. So he got basically 2.5 months with a half-overhauled squad and gets canned the instant they hit a rough patch in form?

Stupid. Also, Rafa's like the opposite of the guy you would want managing Hazard and Oscar and Mata.

Is the Rafa hiring for real? I haven't seen it yet.

They should hire Redknapp. That'd be hilarious.

Redknapp + Terry and Cole would be high comedy. But the Rafa thing was being reported by John Brewin of Soccernet and someoneorother from the Guardian.
