I really hope Shea becomes a key component the cycle.

Getting out of Dallas is step one. Go the route to Holland. I mean really he could be starting at Ajax right now.

I still can't comprehend a match w Beckerman starting at Azteca and the US wins.

The gap isn't that big, realistically.

Between us and them? I think it remains. That was about half their regulars, sorta trying, in a half full stadium. They still dominated us.

I'm thrilled we won, happy we broke our duck in that hellhole, and can't wait for next summer, but if you put both's side's A roster out there in Azteca in a WCQ, right now, they're better.

The best part of the game was how well the back line played all night. Even Castillo wasn't bad, and Cameron was awesome on Chicharito.

I'm still a little buzzed on micheledas ([expletive] yeah I watched the game at a Mexican restaurant while getting drunk on Mexican beer) and I'm posting on a iPhone but I'll try to be clear.

There is no doubt they are the superior program. But the talent gap, not that big. It's there, but it's not that big. It's not insurmountable and it's not even as big as the gap was between us in 07 when we were on top. It's healthy competition but it's not a substantial gap. Our u-23's are medal-caliber despite not even qualifying for the Olympic tourney. So they got gold? So fuckin what? Just as much good luck went into that medal as bad luck went into our not qualifying.

Give me our future over theirs.

Yes they slePt on this game, yes it meant more to us than them, but it's still the fuckin monkey off our back. Their mystical fortress is just a run down, busted death trap with loud acoustics. We have the belief that they dot, the discipline that thu don't and we will win a world cup and they won't.

[expletive] them. UNO A CERO, PUTOS. With our scrubs, bros. our fuckin scrubs.

Feeling comfortable with half of our back line right now will go a long ways towards 2014 with Johnson and Cameron.

Did anyone else see Donovan's musing about retiring in 2013?

He reads like a depressed emo kid in that interview.

No way he retires before the 2014 World Cup.

This but it still annoys me he acts like this at times.

Hes just driving down the price for Everton.

Probably this.

Also, given the speed at which Comcast does things (we still don't get FSC in HD), I'll probably get Bein sports in 2018.

So apparently the Dempsey transfer saga just went [expletive] crazy, with Martin Jol absolutely throwing Clint and LFC under the bus, claiming Clint just ran his mouth saying he was leaving, but LFC never actually made an offer. So, Jol torpedoed any leverage Dempsey had, and probably hurt any leverage FFC had as well.

So, basically, Clint at FFC is done, thanks to this douche Dutchman.

I don't get why Jol is the douche/bad guy in this saga.

Because I seriously doubt Clint has refused to play. Jol is trying to force an end to this, and by publicly ripping on a guy who's been your best player for 3 years and been a solid club servant for 5 is a dick move.

If Clint absolutely wanted out, he could have handed in a transfer request. He made it clear he wanted Champion's League play, but that's him being honest, not him stomping his feet and holding his breath until he gets his way.
