Oh hot damn. I put in 619 on my DirecTV receiver and it brought up FSC HD. I didn't realize it was live on DirecTV yet. GolTV, as well.

I switched to FIOS and still not live with them yet :x

Not sure that deserved a 2nd yellow didn't seem real intentional. Typical Arsenal from the last two seasons, find a way to tie it in extra time despite domination in possession and shots. I still want a new keeper.

Athletes are so dumb sometimes. There's absolutely no need to slide to try to block the ball when the opposing player is only a few yards from the corner flag in his own defensive end. Should have been a yellow but its still a really dumb play. If they gave cards for stupidity, Cole would certainly have gotten one for that slide.

And apparently Milner is worth 3,000,000+ pounds + Stephen Ireland more than Mesut Ozil, lol. Man City needs to get a grip. If they keep paying premium prices for English scrubs like Lescott, Milner, Wright-Phillips and Barry they are going to keep finishing outside of the top 4.

I'm not even 30 minutes into the Tottenham match and they're just getting mauled right now and are down 3-0. This is unbelievable.

I know that now, but they weren't looking fine down 3-0 after 30 minutes. Tottenham was lucky not to fall 4-1 down also as Young Boys had a couple great chances to score right before Tottenham got their second.

 

Hopefully they can get it done next week at home because I want to see Tottenham in the Champions League.

James Milner isn't even that good. Citeh's owners are beyond stupid.

Sometimes you meet people from way back in unexpected places, as is obvious by Mourinho's look when Sergio Conceicao (now assistant coach with Standard Liège) says hello prior to yesterday's warm-up game.

Hughes just bought Moussa Dembele from AZ. He's a forward/winger who is 6'1, strong, technically good, scores goals, is creative and spontaneous and has good passing range.

 

 

Wow, that sounds strikingly like a less experienced version of a player they already have.

I tweeted Andy Brassell about it (if any of you don't podcast the World Football Phone In, you should reevaluate that decision) and here is what he said:

@andybrassell Dembélé significantly more flair, wd suit a wider attacking position.Dempsey there already physically, something for MD to work on

 

Sounds like Dembele could have the same issues Clint did when he went to Fulham at the same age. Clint, as we know, used significantly more flair and significantly less physicality/defending when in MLS. Had to learn those things in England.

He's also a Belgian international who's had a bad year at AZ - I hope he can rebound in the EPL

Sounds like nothing transcendent, but the best left back prospect we've had in a while.

 

Villa fans didnt like him today. Hopefully he'll get some more first team action and we can see him develop a little bit. God knows we need some depth at that spot.

 

Seattle is up 1-0 in Honduras v Marathon in CCL action. MLS is killing it this week in the group stages. Fredy Montero is the best player on the field.
