Oswalt was a late scratch. That's going to make things difficult for me. I'm down on points and Fuzzy outstarts me tomorrow by 2-1.

Injuries are just plaguing me this season.

this has potentially large ramifications if I can win my game, which is also very close.

the west division could be hanging on Ervin Santana - if he posts a QS NSBB will fall into a virtual tie (due to tiebreaker and our season ending matchup). We both would have our destiny in our hands.

nothing like the ol' blown save/loss combo to make it a game again. i'm up maybe 25 going into the night game. he has mussina, arod, ortiz, and timlin, and i have schilling and paps.

my bullpen, which has been a huge strength this year, has been terrible this week...something like -8 points. damn, a save by putz would have probably sealed the deal.

I know as well as anyone that bullpens can completely screw you up.

There's a chance. It'll be interesting to see if either starter can work to a QS. That should make the difference. Also, Woody Williams points from friday still haven't been counted.

I thought you said you put him in too late? In that case, they will never count. Is this a question to me?

the record shows you made the move at 3:31 PM on the 18th, so his points for that day will not count - unless Adam wants to allow it since you mentioned the move earlier in the week.

I rarely mess with the lineup, so for whatever reason I thought it was Noon PST, until i read the rules. In either case, the move was late for the day he pitched. So, as you say, Adam can make the decision.

In other news, Sox/Yanks in a t-storm. That should help out neither team.

the sox would probably be helped by a rainout - though I guess you meant RK teams - obviously it hurts you more since you are behind.

I'm about 40 points down, but I have four pitching starts remaining and Raw has two. It will be tough but possible for me to make up that ground.

Have you seen my weekend stats? You have a very good shot.

You were just saying that to get my players overconfident.

And it worked. Especially with Hennessey. :x

didn't matter in the final score, but it's too bad papelbon got a blown save last night as he was very impressive. coming in in the 8th inning with the bases loaded, no outs, and giambi and arod coming up....then nearly escaping a runner at 3rd no outs in the 9th if not for a bloop by jeter. of course, cbs says he choked...

anyway, williams' points didn't end up mattering. and i think i've clinched the division...even if i lose out and HBC wins out, i have the first tiebreaker by beating him twice. looks like i'll be seeing HBC or buddiga in the playoffs in a few weeks!
