Wow...I just got back from watching Saints traing camp today (and getting Reggie Bush's auto :) ) and so I've been MIA. I'm happy to see I made the Trib....this is my third such time to make it!

As for those who've questioned my flip flopping to Dierker.

My choices have always been 1. Davey Johnson 2. Fredi Gonzalez 3. Larry Dierker.

However, just recently I read Dierker's book and checked out his blog more closely and have since moved Dierker to the top of the list. I still think Johnson and Gonzalez would make excellent choices as well, and I'd definitely be happy if any of the three were made the next Cubs manager.

The Reggie Bush? Was he wearing #5?

He now wears #25. He showed some nice moves, especially once during kick returning drills.

I also got Brees, Horn, and about 18 others on my ball. They were very accomodating after practice. Horn is one of the most personable guys out there.

did you get his cell number?

i know this is going to be thread-jacking, but i am a big saints fan from the short time i lived in new orleans. how are they looking? is deuce playing at all?

how do you feel about brees? i know brooks wasn't the greatest, but i think brees only succeeded in SD because of the system.

Brees and Horn looked good. Deuce was running reps with the first team offense and splitting time with Bush.

Some interesting points are that Devry Henderson seems to have subplanted Stallworth as the number two receiver.

The defense looks bad, really bad.

hey, hey...congrats vance...I'd have few qualms with handing dierker the reigns....

..yes, the saints d (lowercase d) is going to be bad. The simply won't have the LBs that will be able to stop the run. That said, I'll be at several of the NOLA home games this season and will probably attend the game in ATL against the dirty birds in late November.

it's sad that they still aren't going to be good for a while. i can imagine it becoming the lions with barry sanders. :( i hope that stallworth can become what his talent would suggest he could be.

I hear the Sun Times has an opening...

What you want to work for the same Newspaper that has Mariotti? Didn't you use to have standards?

Actually, I don't really want to work at all. I'd prefer to write my op-ed pieces from the comfort of my own home. :)
