I was at my local pub on the north side and we all danced in the streets at that moment. Man, I just got the chills and shed a tear...

I remember waking up at 5:00 (hangover)AM and read every single shred of news on it on the internet. Then walked to Wrigley to pick up my central div. winners t-shirt.

Amen with the first 2. Throwing the ball back isn't that annoying.

By saying get a "new stadium" - are you saying replace it at its curent location? Or put the new stadium is someplace like...Schaumburg, Joliet, etc...

My belief is that the stadium draws fans for being "just the stadium" (history, etc...). But the Cubs also draw due to the environment around the stadium (bars). Believe me, I love to drink beer and have fun - but a message needs to be sent to mgmt. by the fans saying we are not putting up w/ the crap on the field. Point being, if the stadium is placed in a suburb - they will draw based on how competitive the product is on the field. Its not sometihing that anyone else has stated before, just thought I'd rehash it.

Never understood the "build a new stadium" rant? I like Wrigley just the way it is, and a stadium has nothing to do with not winning. Just ask Boston.

A stadium in the suburbs would suck to go to. And it wouldn't even come close to guaranteeing a better product on the field (how much more do you think ownership will spend on the team if they play out there?).

Gonna throw my two sense in here for what its worth.

I think as Cubs fans we are too hell-bent on tradition.

I mean..what proud history do we want to hold on to? A near century of

complete fulility and failure?

I mean (explative deleted by moderator), you could assemble a team each year for a hundred years

simply by throwing darts, and you would probably have more playoff appearences than the Cubs have given us.

I stumbled across this on youtube...

MAN I MISS THOSE DAYS!!!

we're only 10 GB in the wildcard

Man, that was a super-duper day. I remember taking a vow of celbracy of beer, if the Cubs could win the Series that yr. Obviously, I'm still a drunk, and the Cubs are still in the same boat.....but great day, nonetheless.

Make that 9.5

That font size is really annoying.

Agreed.

Dieser kleine Schriftkegel, ist durchaus das Kopfschmerzenbilden. Ich werde den übersteigen, indem ich eine andere Sprache spreche.

Take that, you guys who uses the small font.

Why not just put a better product out there instead of blaming things like singers, daygames and throwing the ball on the field. Not being from Chicago I never realized how superstitious many Cub fans are.

Noticed on the video that the shortstop handled the double-play ball flawlessly. Too bad he couldn't handle the ball a couple weeks later. Will we ever be that close again?
