NL 3B Leaders (Fielding %)

So, I was readling this (3 EX-CUBS!) when I noticed this for Rolen:

His fielding percentage is second among NL third baseman who have played in at least 90 games.

Guess who's first.

ARam.

Aram still has absolutely no range. He is still average at the best defensively. He doesn't get to as many balls as guys like Rolen, Jones, and Zimmerman therefore he makes more routine plays and has less chances to make errors than the others.

you're exagerating. his range is fine.

What stands out in my mind from that article is not the fact that ARam has the best fielding percentage of 3rd baseman in the NL. It's the fact that the Cubs have three former players up for Comeback Player of the Year honors.

You have to wonder about the management when players leave from the previous year and THREE of them are now up for Comeback Player of the Year.

The management deserves some criticism for Corey, but Nomar's case for Comeback Player rests on the fact that he was injured for most of last year; he hit relatively well once he came back from his torn groin. Borowski is the same case as Nomar - he had rotator cuff problems in 2004 and a broken arm in 2005 that severly limited his effectiveness.
