Can we score the man from 3rd with one out?

Neifi will save us !!

Everyone was giving Neifi high fives for the popup that would not have scored anyone not named Pierre and even he should have been gunned down. I think him running shocked Kearns and he threw the ball offline out of shock. But you are right...Neifi saved us again.

Oh, lighten up.

If I lighten up will it help the Cubs win some games? I mean could it be my fault the Cubs are as bad as they are becuase I'm too hard on them?

If this game was at Wrigley, Soriano would have 3 home runs right now.. those two balls that were caught would have easily been homers at our field..I wish we could a power hitting left fielder like him... We havent had consistency in that spot since moises alou

It's not the CUBS I'm worried about.... it's your blood pressure.

Memo to Dusty:

What you just saw is a sacrifice bunt. Fundamentally sound teams use it as an offensive tactic to score runs. If you score more runs than your opponent, you win the game. The object in baseball is to win the game.

Never mind Dusty, let's start over. This round thing is a baseball......

Thanks for the concern but my blood pressure is fine. If I let the way the Cubs play affect my health I would have been dead years ago.

Seriously, I'd rather Dusty never sacrifice than have him sacrfice with Austin Kearns up after two batters reach base.

Or just never sacrifice.

Frank Robinson is no baseball manager mastermind. If anyone could contend for worst manager in baseball with Dusty Baker, Frank is the man.

Go ahead and sacrifice in a tie game in the 8th or 9th. In virtually EVERY other situation, its a waste of an out. Especially with a guy like Kearns.

Come on, dude! He's old school! He's a tough guy! That's all that a good manager needs to be!
