Iowa down 4-0 in the 4th.

The Iowa game I have on Gameday has them down 1-0 with Ryu absolutely dominating for the last 2 innings.

Yes, big typo from me. Getting my wisdom teeth out earlier today has meesed with my mind. Of course, I don't always have to use that excuse either

Wow! Ryu, Hill, Guzman, and Wells are looking good at Iowa these days. Do the Cubs really need another veteran starter at Wrigley in 2007? Seems signing a veteran reliever as a free agent would make more sense.

We already have several veteran relievers signed through at least next year, Eyre, Howry, Dempster.

3-run homer for Fontenot gives Iowa a 3-1 lead! Iowa did have runners at 1st and 3rd with no outs earlier in the inning, but Montanez grounded into a weird FC DP as the runner at 3rd (Micah) was thrown out at home and then Jose Reyes, who was at 1st, was thrown out trying to go to 3rd. Thankfully, Pie came though with a walk and Fontenot delievered with a homer.

Rapada and Wuertz combined to pitch a scoreless 6th. Still 3-1 Iowa.

Robinson Chirinos homered in the 1st for Peoria...Chiefs lead 2-1 in the 3rd.

Norton gave up a 3-run homer in the 1st to Clearwater...Daytona down 3-0 in the 2nd.

Iowa wins game 1, 3-1! Ryu got the win as he pitched 5 innings of 2 hit ball, allowing 1 run, walking 2, and striking out 7. Clay Rapada pitched a third of an inning allowing 1 hit. Wuertz closed it out pitching an inning and 2/3's allowing 2 hits, 0 runs, 0 BB's, and striking out 3. Fontenot delivered the big blow with a 3-run homer in the 5th. He also singled as well. Jose Reyes went 2/3. Hoffpauir went 1/3 with a double. Felix went 1/1 with 2 BB's and a run scored. Definitely a good game for Felix this afternoon.

Peoria now tied at 2 in the 4th.

Daytona now only trails 3-2 after 2 after Matt Craig's 11th HR of the season, which was followed by a double by Ryan Harvey and then an RBI by Fuld.

Anyone listening to the Iowa game? Gameday said there was an injury delay right before Ligtenberg replaced Cherry to start the 6th.

They did a double switch the half inning before so Auggie could hit in the 9th spot. Cherry only went an inning.

Taylor and Koerber had real good outings tonight for Peoria. Taylor went 7 allowing 7 hits, 3 runs, 0 BB's, and had 5 K's. Koerber pitched 2 innings allowing 1 hit, 0 runs, 2 BB's, and had 1 K. Besides the 2 2-run homers for Chirinos and Yusuf, Reynolds went 3/5 with 2 2B's and an RBI. Every Chief besides Garcia had at least one hit tonight.

Iowa up 3-0 in the bottom of the 6th.

West Tenn tied at 1 in the 8th. They are currently in a rain delay. Jackson hit his 4th HR of the season.

Daytona's game was suspended due to rain. The D-Cubs were down 4-2 before the game was suspended.

Jaxx are still tied at 1 as the game is still delayed in the 8th.

ALL OUT BENCH-CLEARING MELEE IN THE BOISE GAME!

These teams hate each other, benches have cleared 2 times in 3 games.

Here's what happened: Joseph was running across first, the throw was high and the tag was at Jospeh's head, knocking his helmet off. Apparently Joseph wasn't too happy, yelled at the first baseman, and the benches cleared. Then, some guy from Everett's bench (Zorn?) punched Joseph and other punches were thrown. Elvin Puello apparently played a huge part in the brawl as he was ejected. Colvin had to restrain Joseph.

Now Boise's manager is mad at the ejections.

Ejections:

Everett AquaSox pitcher Natividad Dilone ejected by HP umpire Phil Henry.

Everett AquaSox catcher Jair Fernandez ejected by HP umpire Phil Henry. Everett AquaSox right fielder Jose Graterol ejected by HP umpire Phil Henry.

Boise Hawks Alfred Joseph ejected by HP umpire Phil Henry.

Boise Hawks third baseman Elvin Puello ejected by HP umpire Phil Henry.

The guy who started the fight by punching Joseph, Dean Zorn of Everett, was *not* ejected.

This is the 2nd time this series the benches have cleared I do believe. Last time was when Pina hit someone who had previously hit 2 homers off of him in the game.

*cough*

:P

On top of that, both teams hit a few guys yesterday and there were warnings.

And Francisco gives up back-to-back doubles to start the bottom of the 7th and Everett is on the board, down 3-1.

Ehh alright so I'm not a very good skim reader, but I was more specific than you were :P
