"I know everybody else wants us to go to Iowa [to call up Hill]," Baker said. "Maybe they'll get their choice. But be careful what you wish for, right? Wasn't that what everyone was saying just [saturday]?"

I am not sure what Dusty is trying to say, but I am quite certain it is another shot at Hill and the "kids".

It's nice that has some nice things to say about Hill. Really, this guy cares so much about the organization it makes me cry. Selfish thin skinned excuse making loser.

On a positive note, with all of these negative comments it seems that either Baker is unhappy and wants to leave, or that he sences that his time is up and is venting his frustrations before he leaves. I'm pumped about the recent comments. He has to be gone soon now...right?

I really don't think this is the worst team the Cubs have had since I was born (1982), but is this season the biggest trainwreck? Definately!

I find it hilarious that Dusty didn't name Bynum and Pagan as "kids", considering their experience in the majors.

The minute you become injured under Dusty's watch, you're immediately granted "horse" status.

Ultimately this falls to Hendry, not Dusty. Dusty is at the end of his contract and is in a must win situation, of course he is going to do what he needs to do to keep his job which is win as much as you can now. You can't blame Dusty for that, it is Hendry who has to realize this and make a decision on Dusty's fate.

I don't think Hendry understands the concept of seeing what a kid has, or letting him work through early troubles. Jim is on record complaining about the young players not doing enough this year in their brief stints. He seems to think that if you are a good player, you will have good results as soon as you jump into the majors, then he takes it as an insult when a player doesn't do well right away.

What the hell was everyone saying on Saturday? And in reference to whom?

He's just making things up now.
