I say we hire Steve Stone and Joe Morgan as some combination of GM/Manager since they both think they know everything.

Just as Hawk Harrelson is one of the best broadcasters in baseball today, he was also not fit for the GM chair.

Maybe you should listen better. The proposed trade with the Dodgers was for more than Izturis. It was for their best young pitcher and best young OF. The Dodgers are one of few clubs to have the $$$ to assume ARam's contract. The trade also included Maddux and Williamson.

 

The Dodgers are offering Kemp, Billinsgley and Izturis for Maddux, Williamson and Aramis? Somehow I find that hard to believe, given the Dodgers don't want to give up either in a potential Willis trade.

Liking Hawk Harrelson is akin to calling Ronnie Woo Woo's name. You know he's gonna respond and he's gonna annoy the hell outta you for three hours or so, and at the end of it all, you wanna punch yourself in the face for submitting yourself to such torture.

I wonder what they would give up for Cabrera? That's the route I'd go if I were the Dodgers.

 

I saw Izturis play here and he has a nice glove and range but a bit of a free swinger with no power and IMO Cedeno is just as good.
