Tough call. I really liked Metallica when they were good, but they have been bad for a long time now. And Phish was great, for what they were. I always enjoy their music.

I agree. I don't think Metallica is really a #2 and I don't think Phish is really a #15.

I hate Lars.

me too. And not because of the Napster BS. If you watch the documentary "Some Kind of Monster", Lars is an all out prick pretty much the whole time. His sympathy for James' rehab, etc. is in the negative.

I only like two songs by Metallica, but unfortuanatly i don't like any songs by Phish. So Metallica it is. :(

Pffft Phish. Gonna have to come stronger than that to oust Metallica from this tournament.

And yes Metallica did rock before they turned into Selloutica. But they were so strong in the early days that they can overcome the lastest crap they put out in the early rounds of this tourney.

Metallica's last good album.... And justice For All....

Yes but its like the US Open. When you kick so much ass it gives you 10 years of exemption. In those 10 years you can suck like David Duval but man during those years you kicked ass you are still hailed as a legend for that time.

Thank You. And Metallica still kicks all kinds of ass live. Robert Trujillo was a great addition

Ahem, Metallica SHOULD be a #1 seed, but #2 ain't bad, they'll just be a highly seeded Dark Horse if there is such a thing.

But this is your tourney Derwood, not mine.

Agreed. Trujillo is awesome onstage. Metallica is the easy vote here and will always kick serious ass.

How is this even close?

because Mettallica isn't universally appealling enough, or hailed enough to have a landslide win.

20 million of which you can say succeeded more because of the success of the black album, but i wont go into those waters

don't get me wrong, i love mettallica from Kill Em All to The Black Album, but maybe it's there last 4 or 5 effors that have subsequently disappointed me that makes me value them less.

But i voted for them.
