Joseph has an odd stance. He keeps the bat in, low, and moving.

It is rather odd but he still hits the ball pretty hard; Canzler's stance is quite odd to me.

What's it look like?

He has a wide base but he brings his knees in so close that they're almost touching. He holds his bat rather high and he brings his elbows together and apart as a timing mechanism. It reminds me of Craig Counsell but with a lower bat position and he stays square in the box the whole time.

has hill been the best pitcher in all of AAA this season? all of minor league baseball?

by the way, hill had 10 k's, not 6 (according to milb.com).

7 ip, 4 h, 0 bb, 10 k's

wuertz had 5 k's in two innings also.

Sounds like Alou except Alou doesn't move his elbows together.

My bad on that. I was looking at MiLB Gameday as I typed that and that's what it said. Even better outings for Hill and Wuertz then if those are the correct numbers.

i'll give you sanchez, and mcgee's been about the same, but hill's been better than adenhart, albers, jimenez and (by a loooong ways) rogers.

if you want to bring age into it, then some of those guys pass hill, but on numbers alone, he's right up there w/ big humberto.

milb's game log was all screwed up until just a minute ago. the box score was right, but the log was wrong. now they're both right.

Rogers is leading the minors in K/9 last I checked.

he's k-ing guys at a ridiculous rate (84 in 59 ip), but he's also walked 37 in those innings. and he's got a 4.73 era. batters are hitting .246 against rogers and under .200 against hill.

MiLB.com has Petrick down for 3.2 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 2 BB, 5 K, HBP, 4-1 GO-FO

Pretty decent return for Petrick.

And like last year, BoiseHawks.com archives the video of all of the home games.

Eugene leads 6-4 now, Jerry Blevins is getting hammered out there.

Ugh...

2 doubles, error, single, IF single, 3-R HR was the sequence when Blevins was pitching.

As for Mateo being ejected was at the game and pretty sure Sing was hit his first AB and had his head zipped his 2nd AB. Wasn't the player hit for Miss. the same player who came in with a Cleats-up slide last night to Ritchie at home last night.

Not sure on whether or not it was the same guy. I knew a Jaxx player was hit but thought I may have missed something.

Dont't forget Matt Garza.

5-1 1.42 ERA in High A

4-1 1.26 ERA in Double-A

100:20 combined K:BB in 80 innings.

petrick loves him some groundballs.

Best sinker in the system, this side of Big Z.

Any reports on his velocity? He was in the mid-90s pre-surgery.

There was no gun on the video feed and the announcer didn't mention it either. He did appear to have some zip on his throws though, I'd guesstimate he was around 89-92. I really don't recall him throwing many off speed pitches tonight, he leaned heavily on his fastball IMO...but I guess coming off of shoulder surgery that is probably best.

Gotta agree with abuck here. Overall, Hill's stats trump Rogers'.

Rogers' stats remind me of Kerry Wood's minor league stats.
