This is Darin's third try at Boise.

His first two:

2004: 4-3, 4.95 ERA, 60 IP, 61/35, 1.50 WHIP, .234 BAA, 5 HRs

2005: 5-4, 3.50 ERA, 61.2 IP, 63/22, 1.35 WHIP, .248 BAA, 5 HRs

And his brief stint in Peoria:

2005: 0-2, 18.47 ERA, 6.1 IP, 3/4, 2.53 WHIP, .387 BAA, 1 HR

I called the Downs drafting before it happened so I'm really hoping he can turn it around. At 21, he's definately too old for the league so I'm hoping he's learned and will move faster this year.

Jaxx up 4-1 in the 5th. Chris Walker, EPatt and Nic Jackson with the RBIs for the Jaxx. Mathes has gone 5 and given up 1 earned on 8 hits.

In the middle of the 4th, Daytona is tied with Palm Beach. Ryan Harvey with a solo HR, Jake Muyco (recently called up from Peoria) with the other RBI on a sac fly. Berg has given up 2 through 3 innings, both runs in the third inning.

The folks back at the station are working on getting the internet problem solved. Has thiis been a problem alot this season??

BTW, the AC in my booth is on the fritz.. TOASTY in here.. lol

The broadcast has been great, but I have noticed some connection glitches over the last week. I had to listen to the broadcasts of the Stars a few times last week.

Hopefully they'll have the AC fixed by tomorrow!

I haven't, but then again, I only listen to the Jaxx a few times a week (gotta listen a bit to the other teams too - maybe even the big league team)

Daytona loses 5-4 in 10. Berg went 5 innings and allowed 3 hits, 4 runs, 2 earned, 4 BB's, and had 1 K. Stephen Bronderwent 2 and 2/3's of an inning allowing only 1 BB, no hits, and had 3 K's. Tim Layden picked up his first loss of the season as he allowed a walkoff homer in the 10th. He pitched 2 2/3's total allowing the 1 hit, 1 run, 1 BB, and had 2 K's. Ryan Harvey went 1/4 including his 7th homer of the season. Jemel Spearman went 1/4 and had 2 RBI's, Aaron Weston went 1/3 with a BB, and Andrew Lane also had 2 hits and a BB. Jake Muyco made his first start for Daytona and went 0/3 with an RBI and had 2 K's. Jonathan Mota went 0/4 with a K in his first start for Daytona.

Jaxx are scoreless after 4. Brownlie is actually pitching decent tonight as he has only allowed 2 hits, 0 BB's, and has 3 K's through 4.

Boise leads 1-0 after 2 on a sac fly by Episcopo in the 2nd.

Downs has looked pretty good so far. It seems to me like he'll be sailing along and then he almost gets bored or loses his focus. He's also got a very long delivery and it looks like it can be picked up rather easily.

Scott Moore goes yard and the Jaxx lead 1-0 after 5!

With Hoffpauir gone, he's closing in on the SL home run leader...only a few back now I believe isn't he?

Puts him one homer back from Joey Votto of Chatanooga and Ryan Christianson of Montgomery.

Brownlie was finished after 5 and only allowed 3 hits, 0 runs, and 0 BB's. He also had 4 K's. Rocky Cherry came in for the 6th and allowed 4 hits, 1 run, and had 2 K's. Could've been much worse than just 1 run in the 6th. After 5 1/2, its all tied up at 1.
