Pitch count?

84 at the end of 6

likely no to make it all 9, if he does, it'll be 120 pitch game

NO way he comes out with a no-hitter because of pitch count unless it's 130+.

Even then it's not a gimme. Didn't Kerry Wood get into the 140's in 2003? I know he pitched in the 130's before.

not too bad of a pitch count. If he stays somewhat economical with the rest of the night he could have 125 or less assuming he keeps the no-no in tact.

and if he does give up a hit, he should be pulled immediately. but it's a nice thing to have to worry about.

i'm hoping someone gets a hit, then

If that's not a jinx then it's the start of a new tradition.

Wasn't that thru 5 innings though? :)

Hate to say anything, but theres no shame in a combined no-hitter.

I'd love to see one on the North Side

This will be the jinx, btw.

Good to see Zambrano swinging the bat well and preventing some certain things from happening when he is on the mound! 8)

Rusch would come it and blow it in the 9th (and the game)

How close was Jones to hitting another dinger. Cbssportsline says to "Deep left"?

Just short of the warning track. Hit more of a line drive.

Berkman made a nice play on what might have been a gapper. Not HR distance.
