SI.com ranks Dusty as the tenth-best sports player ever to wear #12...let the ranting begin!

The unofficial inventor of the high-five as the Dodgers' left fielder, Baker also was the guy on deck when the Braves' Hank Aaron hit his 715th home run. Oh yeah, he's also a pretty good manager, with more than 1,100 wins.

He was a pretty decent player, surprised he's no 10 though.

What does his being on deck blahblahblah have to do with this?

I hear he's on the top 10 toothpick chewers list as well. He wouldn't have made the list, except that...stop me if you've heard this one...he was the guy on deck when the Braves' Hank Aaron hit his 715th home run...

Clearly that makes him better at toothpick chewing.

They have Brady to high. You would have to give him all the credit for the 3 super bowl wins to be that high and that is just not true. Joe Namath also way to high.

A way better #12 than Dusty, even counting his disappointing record as a major level college coach.

Basically they rated Dusty the best baseball player to ever wear number 12 because there were 8 football players on the list and John Stockton. I am by no means an expert on numbers players wear, but I'm sure there has to be at least one other baseball player that wore number 12 that was better than Dusty Baker.

That on deck "stat" needs to go. What's the implication, that Aaron only hit that HR because Dusty was over there giving him sexy vibes?
