Did anyone else see that? The Chubbs could have drafted JD Drew but took Patterson?

speeking of Patterson he's playing pretty good!

It's amazing what players can do under the tutelige of a competent coaching staff.

Agreed. Hasn't been a competent staff around here since the days of Wendell Kim...

The high in GIDPs this year is 4 on Sat 29 April vs. Milwaukee. All time record, I couldn't say.

NL Record for most GIDP by a single team in a game is 7 by the SF Giants in 1969.

The Braves and Cubs hold the most in a NL game together with 8 from 1928. 5 for Boston and 3 for Chicago.

I am still looking.

Yeah, this was the year after JD messed with the Phillies and folks weren't sure he'd sign. He was a consensus top-3 pick (along with Burrell and Mulder) otherwise.

Oh right, I remember that now. JD would have been nice in the same lineup as Sammy.

Lol.

Here is a funny stat. Joe Torre holds the record for most GIDP in a game by a single player for the NL with 4 on July 21st, 1975 for the Mets.

Thats worse than a golden sombrero. Wonder what the technical term for that is.
