At least our players look better.

Actually, at first glance, Woody looks kind of whitetrashy.

I could see him out in the front yard of the trailer, sitting on a couch, cap turned backwards with a sleevless T on sluggin back a Old Mil.

The goatee, or whatever that is, also adds to the look.

Where is Shooter these days?

Womack's on the Neifi Perez 5 step program to a contract extension.

Step 1: Play so terribly that a bad team releases you

Step 2: Remind Jim Hendry that you are alive to get minor league contract

Step 3: Play over your head for a month

Step 4: Regress to previous crappiness

Step 5: Get contract extension because your overall performance isn't awful because of good month.

Wow, 2yrs/$5M for a guy to be Tony Womack's backup, this being the Tony Womack that 29 other MLB teams didn't want. Good contract there, Jim.

I say:

The Reds are up 3-2 in the bottom in then ninth. David Weathers loads the bases on 12 straight Ricky Vaughn balls. Nefti Perez comes up with a chance to win the game, but promptly on the first pitch grounds the ball over to third base. Shocked that he even made contact with the ball, just look dumbfounded. Encarnacion takes the grounder, touches third, throws to 2b, and who in turn throws the relay to first. For the seldom seen game ending Triple Play.

After the game...Perez is giving the lifetime achievement award for saving David Weathers career.

Question: Would the above scenario top losing a game on a 2-run sac fly? Or an infield fly bouncing off a defender's head?

I just can't see either of those ever happening in a major league game. [/sarcasm]
