Cincinnati is slipping. They have lost three in a row, 5 out of 7 and 10 out of 14. It was just a matter of time. Although, 7 out of their next 14 games are against the Cubs so the Reds could be on their way back up.

EDIT: I changed the bold part. By "they could be on their way back up" I meant the Reds could be. Sorry if there was some confusion.

Run differentials, NL Central:

Cards: +56

Reds: +4

ex-Seligs: -10

Astros: -23

Cubs: -71

Pirates: -36

Yep, by this measure the Cubs have actually been lucky this year. I'm guessing the Reds fatten up on the Cubs rather than the other way round.

The Cubs have been swept in 5 series this year: @Arizona (2 games), @SD (4 games), SD (3 games), @FLA (3 games), and ATL (3 games).

Yeesh.

Hey, at least we swept the Cardinals. :)

That, plus $1.19, will buy you a cup of coffee down at the truck stop, no?

With our rate of suckage, the least we can is beat the Cardinals and White Sox.
