I had a teacher in high school tell us about when he was young, he was working in a factory with a guy who admitted to using heroin. The one thing the guy always said? He regretted ever starting smoking cigarettes. Why cigs and not heroin? Well, according to him, it was nearly impossible to quit cigs, but to get of heroin, all he needed to do was survive a couple days of withdrawal, and won't have the urge to need to do it again, but the urge for cigs never goes away.

Thats what the Cubs are like. You may quit, but the addiction will never fully go away.

Uhhh..after watching a friend struggle with heroin addiction for 3 years, going on and off of it and eventually dying because of it, I can tell you that's not true.

yeah, a couple of days of withdrawal my you know what.

watching my cousin deal with her addiction over the last several years has been devastating. she became someone completely different. the cubs are in no way comparable with heroin addiction. i know it's a joke, but the effects that drug has, on more than just the using person - it's taken it's toll on the whole family, is much much different than heroin.

the cubs? this is a stupid poll.

the cubs are my favorite baseball team, and have been since i've been old enough to have a favorite team. that being said, i would have no problem forgetting about the cubs. i just don't let things like a baseball team influence my mood and emotions. it's a waste of time, and will only cause stress.
