I posted this in the discussion section and I am sticking with it:

If we lose today and thus are swept at home, Baker will see pink yet agin tomorrow around 9:00 a.m.

I think you're wrong, but I'd love to see it.

Pierre sucks. So much for him being that leadoff hitter we needed. I think Neifi and Corey did better than him last year when they were leading off.

patterson is hitting 280 this year so more proof it actually wasant him, it was this teams management

huh? Patterson was terrible last year - how could it not be him?

dont get me wrong, part of the problem was him but i think the far bigger problem is this teams management. Seriously only the cubs are hitting new lows in offense

Perhaps, but I have staked out the position, and I don't want to welch. :)

Until I read that as confirmed, I don't believe it. I still say he does not want to be here anymore, and JH is finally seeing the light.

The Cubs have never been swept in a seven game series and SD has never swept anyone. Is this history in the making?

I'm with ya. Not because it's true, but because I'm desperate for any ray of hope at this point.

Future trivia question?

Baker has been the worst thing to EVER happen to the Cubs. This club had all the potential and players and Baker's management has been awful.

He's screwed up Prior and Woody's arms, Screwed up Patterson, screwed up the fundamentals, not shown players consequences for being fundamentally poor, brought an awful hitting philosophy to the team, not known how to manage pitchers worth a lick, not known how to make a reasonable lineup ever. And all of this during our most promising time in many many years.

Am I missing anything.

It would fit better with the theme if they did it after the game...pink bats...pink hats...pink shirts....pink slip... :P
