I'll be there Wednesday night....so if he must do it, he should have the decency to wait until I am in attendance so I can boo or something.

 

I saw him hit like #598, so, with my luck, I will probably see #716 or something no one will remember.

Everyone always makes their milestones against the cubs.

 

 

These two things combine to prove that it is inevitable.

I predict that by game time, the gravitational pull of Bonds' huge head will have grown so as to act upon the ball to such an extent that it would have flown out of the park but it drops down towards Jacque Jones. And he drops it.

And then Pierre picks it up and air mails past the cutoff man, and Bonds winds up with an inside-the-park home run.

When was the last time a milestone was reached against the Cubs? #62? Remember that Clemens had a chance to get his 300th win against the Cubs and it didn't happen. I don't think we give up milestones very often.

I'll wager that we don't give up the HR to Bonds that pushes him past Ruth..takers?
