According to ITI Brownlie has been demoted.

Right-hander Bobby Brownlie has been sent to Double-A West Tenn after going 0-3 with a 10.80 ERA in eight games for Iowa. Brownlie, who signed for $2.5 million as the Cubs' top choice in 2002, will be replaced by right-hander Federico Baez from West Tenn.

Baez was with the I-Cubs from April 17-22 this year and appeared in one game. Baez was 1-0 with a 3.94 ERA in nine games for West Tenn, where opponents were hitting .250 against him. He pitched for Puerto Rico in the World Baseball Classic in March.
